We're Mnwas & Aurelia, and while we come from strategy consulting and dentistry, our hearts have always been drawn to adventure and the stories of different cultures. We've spent years getting to know places and their people, learning the many ways people live.
That time has taught us what matters most—connecting with people, spending time in nature, and finding beauty and joy in life's little things. And we believe that surfing brings them all together.
We've always dreamed of sharing these experiences that make us feel fully alive. From that idea came Bruna Surf—a way to share all these beautiful, life-enriching moments with people who appreciate the same things in life as we do.
The richest experiences come when we quiet our expectations and tune into local wisdom. Whether it’s learning the secret to catching a particular break or understanding the significance of a cultural tradition, we approach each destination as students, not tourists.
From listening comes respect—for the shoreline and the people who call it home. Every beach we visit deserves care and appreciation. That means making thoughtful choices that support local people, communities, and coastlines—so we always leave the right kind of footprints behind.
Honouring the coast naturally leads us to honour its roots. We celebrate local businesses and ways of life. We actively support true local livelihoods by choosing family-run accommodations, locally owned eateries, and community-led activities. By going local, we make sure everyone benefits—from the people hosting us to the friends we surf alongside.
And when we listen, honour, and embrace the roots, joy shows up everywhere. We’re here for the laughs after epic wipeouts, the cheers when someone catches their first wave, and all the moments shared in between. Joy is the glue holding our community together—crossing language, culture, and background in everything we do. For us, surfing is one of life’s great joys, a pure reminder of how good it feels to be alive.
