A classic Bruna week, this time on a dream island of Martinique. We've paired up with international surf coach Fayed Nouvian, who grew up calling this coast his backyard and learned to surf on these very breaks.
It's everything our trips always are: great surf paired with local adventures. Expect to be active all week — surfing, spotting dolphins from the boat, moving to shatta after dark, and soaking up the island in between.
The food is a big part of it. Our chef Igor Faustin cooks the Creole classics the island is known for — accras, colombo, fresh court-bouillon, and whatever the day's catch brings in. We stay across two villas side by side, with private and twin rooms and plenty of space for our yoga and body-conditioning sessions.
Late November is the best time to be here — rains gone, island warm and green, and the Atlantic awake with reliable waves for every level, in water you can surf in just a bikini or boardshorts.

Lush volcanic landscape, warm water, and epic sessions in boardshorts or a bikini. This is surfing in Martinique.
Fayed Nouvian, our head coach, grew up surfing this coast and knows exactly where and when it'll fire. November brings the swell, and we drive the coast in our van to surf wherever's best that day.
All levels are welcome — most of us sit between beginner and intermediate, and the coaching adapts to where you're at. Groups stay small, never more than three surfers to a coach. Every session is filmed and photographed for you to keep, and midweek we sit down for a personal surf analysis to boost your learning.

We're based on the Caravelle Peninsula, a nature reserve on the east of the island, surrounded by sea. The rest of Martinique is close by: rainforest in the north, drier hills and quiet coves in the south. Hummingbirds in the gardens, turtles in the bays, dolphins offshore.
Late November into December is the sweet spot. The rains have eased, the hills stay green, and the days are warm — around 29°C, with the ocean near 28°C, so you surf and swim in just boardshorts or a bikini.
Over the week we get out to see the island's different sides — north to Mount Pelée, the volcano at the island's high point, and into the rainforest along the coast. One small island, a lot going on. We don't spend the week by the pool.

Our home for the week is Domaine Saint-Aubin, a Creole estate facing the sea, perfectly located for surfing spots all around the island. Two villas side by side give us private and twin rooms, space for post-surf hangouts, and room for our yoga and body-conditioning sessions.
Our chef is Igor Faustin, a Martinican trained between the island and mainland France. He cooks around one idea: take the best local produce and lift it with a modern, refined touch — his dinners are a highlight of the week. Expect fresh seafood, warm spices, tropical fruit, rum from the local cane, and the island classics: accras, colombo, court-bouillon, and whatever the day's catch brings in.

Martinique's culture is Creole — shaped by Africa, France and the Caribbean, and carried in the language, the food, the music, and the rum. You feel it most when people gather: loud tables, long meals, no one rushing off.
Through the week we get into the local side of the island — bèlè, the drumming, singing and dance Martinique has held onto for generations, and rhum agricole, pressed straight from fresh-cut cane and the drink the island is proudest of. And then there's shatta: the dancehall-style sound born here in the French Caribbean, the beat the island moves to after dark.

THE VILLAS
We stay together at Domaine Saint-Aubin, a Creole estate near Tartane on the Caravelle Peninsula — the green, east side of the island, close to the breaks.
Our home for the week is two villas side by side, 220 m² each, each with its own living room and a big terrace looking out to sea. Between them there's a pool, a garden, and space to spread out — for morning yoga and body conditioning, slow post-surf afternoons, and long meals around the table.

Think curious, active humans who love the ocean, are happy to share a house, and feel excited about stepping into a new culture. Some come with a friend or partner, many come solo. The common thread is wanting a week of surf, nature, good company – and a lot of joy – in a warm, community-focused setting.
You should be comfortable being active for a week: paddling, walking on sand, climbing in and out of the water. If you can comfortably swim 200 meters and you’re okay with a bit of tiredness and salt water, you’ll be fine. If you have any injuries or medical conditions, message us before booking so we can give an honest answer.
€500 deposit secures your spot. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the trip. We accept cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, and SEPA bank transfer.
Yes. Required. Your policy must cover surfing and medical care in the destination. Bring your policy number with you.
We choose spots and times daily based on conditions, brief clearly on the beach, and keep groups small. You’ll need travel insurance that covers surfing.
Solos are very welcome. In shared rooms we try to match same-sex when possible, and private rooms may be available for a supplement (varies by trip) — tell us your preference when booking and we’ll keep you updated.
All levels are very welcome. Most of us sit between beginner and intermediate. The coaching will adapt to each one’s experience and confidence in the water.
Please do — most people do. Room setups vary by trip (shared twins or doubles). Check the trip page for what’s available in that edition.
Yes. Bruna Surf Oy is registered in Finland’s travel organiser security register (Matkanjärjestäjien vakuusrekisteri). You can verify our entry by searching for “Bruna Surf Oy” on the register.
See full Terms for details.
Yes. If you can’t make it, you can transfer your place to another person up to 14 days before the trip start (subject to our approval). Email us their details and we’ll help make the switch.
Yes. Basic swimming ability is required for safety in the ocean. If you can comfortably swim 200 meters and you’re okay with a bit of tiredness and salt water, you’ll be fine.
No hidden fees. Any add‑ons (e.g., airport transfers, workshops) are listed on each trip page.
Yes — we film and shoot throughout the week and share a folder with the group afterward. On some trips (like Martinique) every coached session is filmed, with a personalised video-analysis session midweek.
We aim for 2–3 surfers per coach so you get the most out of your time in the water.
We only run trips during each place's surf season, and we choose the spots and dates with the best odds of good waves — so most weeks deliver. It's the ocean, so we can't promise exact conditions every day. If one spot's flat, we drive to find a better one. And if there's ever nothing to surf anywhere, we swap in something else — a local activity, or maybe a video or theory session.
Days follow the surf, so the timing shifts a little with the tides. Most mornings start with coffee and a light bite, then a surf while conditions are best. We come back for a proper breakfast, then yoga and body conditioning. After lunch, the afternoon is for a local activity — like a boat trip — or just time to rest at the villa. We finish with dinner together in the evening.
Our villas have Wi-Fi that’s fine for messages and light work, but the week is not designed as a full-time workation. Surf times, tides and group plans shape the days, so you’ll need some flexibility. If you just need to check in or answer a few emails, that’s usually totally manageable.
If we ever need to cancel (e.g., safety/operational reasons or not reaching minimum numbers), you can move to another week or receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
Pay in full at checkout, or book with a €500 deposit and settle the balance 60 days before your trip. No additional installment plans right now—the deposit locks your spot.
We’ll do our best to accommodate dietary needs — just let us know in advance.
A lot of people combine the week with extra travel. The Bruna part covers the official trip dates; before and after that you’re on your own. If we know good guesthouses, surf schools or local contacts in the area, we’re happy to point you in the right direction.
Yes — airport transfers are included both ways on the official travel dates: 29 November 2026 (arrival) and 5 December 2026 (departure).
Yes — we provide all essential surf gear. If you prefer, you’re welcome to bring your own board.
We need a minimum of 6 guests to run the trip (it’s also stated in the Terms & Conditions). If the minimum isn’t met, we’ll always let you know early and offer clear options.
Visa rules vary by passport. Martinique is part of France, so EU passport holders don’t need a visa. For other destinations, please check your embassy/consulate before booking flights. If you need help, just message us.
